Well, I like the social commentary about drones, but that story with robots serving overseas seems more interesting to me than the Robocop one, who looks like Iron Man Detroit! I don't get the sense of a Frankenstein-like "abomination" with this one. It all looks too clean and very... average as action flicks go nowadays.
And the February release date suggests even the studio doesn't have much confidence in their product. Unless this is a romantic-comedy targeted towards the Valentine's crowd....

Yeah February is an odd time for a big budget release!. They are also releasing it on the IMAX and 3D I believe. I guarantee it will be a very bad conversion as well.

its biggest flaw I think is going with a PG-13 approach and Im sure all the great satire will be gone. Its very much a movie designed by the studios executives and the director is just a hired hand. The films budget is already extremely high and the studio would certainly not release an R rated movie. 20 years ago that was normal. Total Recall was R rated and that had a huge budget for the time and its crazy how everything now is dumbed down for a younger audience. Just because I happen to be watching it right now, look at how much money Terminator 2 made as an R rated movie - over half a billion dollars! For whatever reason, Hollywood doesn't trust in R rated fare anymore even if it is a franchise film. "RoboCop" is the favorite movie of a friend of mine, and he would watch it anytime he could. I haven't heard his reaction to this remake, but I can't imagine he cares for it at all. My feelings on this remake is that it looks as bland as it gets. This will go real well next to that "Total Recall" remake. This isn't a movie of innovation, originality, social commentary, or artistic merit. It is a product made for mass consumption to where it's been watered down to being unpalatable. The fact that it's being released in February shows that it's not meant to be a major box office contender. It's being released in a "safe" month with little or weak comparable competition. And what annoys the HELL out of me about this suit redesign is the damn human hand. This thing is designed as a tactical, armored weapon, but they leave an entire, VITAL organic appendage completely exposed to being damaged, maimed, or chopped off. That little aspect right there SHOUTS stupidity. It just bothers me like you wouldn't believe, but that new poster just showcases how badly that design sucks. Even if it wasn't RoboCop. If it was some random new property, I'd still say that design is badly conceived. -NJM

"What kind of life will he have?" A bloody awesome life fighting robots 3 times his size!!! Atleast, that's what the trailer suggests...lol And why does CGI look like it's from 2002?And with him jumping around like that it looks more like a CyberNinja,it's a RoboCop movie, not a generic superhero movie... Whats up with "Dead or Alive" line?It sounds worse than in the first trailer, there it was kinda Robotic, now it's just his dull and souless human voice! RoboCop?More like a RoboCopOut...to quote the original "Bitches, Leave!"

Oh this does look so bad, the director has made good use of the scope lens and set his shots up well but its so bland isn't it?. there is nothing original there visually. The music is totally not appropriate for Robocop. I feel this movie is gonna fail big time. I think MGM think they have another IRON MAN on their hands.
