A film released in December 1978. I have a very good idea of what that might be. I look forward to it, if my guess is right.

Mask of the Phantasm! Good choice. The Mr. Freeze SubZero movie is also very good.

Well, there isn't a cold pun every five minutes, so don't expect too much from it. Nowhere near the genius of Batman and Robin.

Oh man, not to stray too far from the subject, but B&R was on TV last night. I lasted a whole ten minutes before leaving the room. A new record!

It's funny because it was supposed to be released alongside "Batman and Robin",but got pushed to a later date because of the horrible reception of the movie, they tried to stay away as far as possible from this POS!lol

Oh i didn't know about it being pushed back. Interesting..
Yeah me and Richard struggled through the commentary for B&R. It is a huge slog to get through the pacing is dreadful. Its like they released the work print before any trims were made. I cant believe they were so bone headed to release this pap. Ego's played a huge part.

I was surprised that this film didn't do better at the box office given the following of the animated series [notice i didn't see cartoon] VERY underrated in my opinion.

I meant to say "say cartoon", not "see cartoon".

The animators who worked on the film said Warners failed to market the movie which is odd considering Warners changed their plan of a direct to video movie and gave it a theatrical release.

Odd thing about Warners. They're legendary for their animation (Looney Tunes, Batman, etc.) but seem to drop the ball when it comes to properly advertising them. They had the same mishandling with The Iron Giant.
