i seriously got addicted to video games when I was 7 or 8. My friend down the road got an NES with super Mario and Duck Hunt. I was hooked from that point on after playing Mario and I begged my parents to get me a games machine and what they got me was a Commodore 64 which had Terminator 2 included. At this point the Commodore was pretty much on its last legs but I don't think my parents knew that. But I still loved it and built up a large collection but my first console was the Sega Mega Drive. My friend had one those Hong Kong import consoles which played PAL and NTSC games and he had bunch of games but it was Moonwalker and Altered Beast that made me want a Mega Drive so bad and I had to wait nearly a year to get one.
Come Christmas I got my mega drive with a bunch of games like SONIC, Road Rash 2 and some golf game ( which I traded in later which pissed my dad off).

Atari 2600 for me. After that, we got the NES--a freebie my dad, a butcher, got for selling a load of hotdogs over the Fourth of July. Ha! The Atari was the all black version, the "Darth Vader." I remember playing mostly River Raid and Pitfall. Yes, good times.

I think i was kinda lucky, because i had a little bit of everything.I was born in 95(feel like was born in 80s though),but my brother and his friend were gamers,so when i was 6 my bro gave me his NES,i couldn't stop playing Tiny Toons,Batman(89) and Legend of Zelda(still have old VHS tapes of me playing trough some of those lol).My brother on the other hand had Panasonic 3DO and PS1.I remember only playing Mad Dog Mccree and Gex on 3DO,probably because it sucked and i played PS1 more(Spider-Man,Crash,Spyro,Theme Park World,Need for Speed and so on). My brothers friend on the other hand had Sega Megadrive(Sonic The Hedgehog 2,Altered Beast,Contra Hard Cops and Comix Zone were incredible, but 3 Ninjas game was HORRIBLE!)and Sega freaking Dreamcast(Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi blew my mind)which also launched my love for fighting games(SoulCalibur 1 and Marvel vs Capcom 2).Few years later me and my friend would go to his house after school to play Super Punch Out and Turtles in Time on his SNES or i would sit home and play Contra on NES and Metal Gear on PS1(until i got my very own first console for my b-day - PS2 ) PS Sorry for the long story lol

I've had pretty much every console under the sun apart from the PS1,2 and 3! lol I had a 3DO at one point. I loved Road Rash, Need For Speed and Street Fighter on it. I was only guy in the area with one. I had a Neo Geo AES twice when I had more money than sense! But I sold them for a lot so I never lost money when investing in a Neo Geo.

Ever have the Sega Game Gear? Dear God, that thing ate the batteries! But it was fun while it lasted. I remember playing Return of the Jedi on it constantly. Fun game.
And of course there was Game Boy before it... with Super Mario Land and Tetris! I can still hear the music.

Oh yeah I had a Game Gear for a short period, i gave up slapping batteries into it I had to get an adapter and plug it in the wall. Its strange Return of the Jedi came to the game gear considering it never made it the Mega Drive and seemed like the Super Star Wars Trilogy was a SNES exclusive.
